Our history
Following the retirement of Bob and Pam Joy, the nursery was taken on by Peter and Diane Rider, continuing to operate with the same commitment to quality, reliability and service that customers have come to expect. Peter and Diane brought with them decades of experience, including over 30 years farming field vegetables in East Sussex, as well as Peter’s earlier career as an ADAS advisor after completing a degree in horticulture.

In the past year, the ownership of the nursery has changed hands once again. While ownership has evolved, what hasn’t changed is the experienced team behind Rainbow Plants. The same knowledgeable staff remain in place, continuing to grow, source and care for the high-quality plants we are known for. This continuity ensures that our standards, service and attention to detail remain as strong as ever.
